She creates an eclectic mix of Dharma talk, thorough asana, balancing pranayama and enriching meditation in all her teachings. Real, lighthearted and passionate, she guides students to embody the teachings of yoga beyond the practice on the mat and realize their fullest potential. Tanya travels often to teach her Thai Yoga Bodywork and Reiki programs, yoga teacher trainings, and other offerings such as Chakra Yoga Teacher Training and more.
Tanya has been groovin’ on the Four Desires work since 2006. Deeply touched by the wealth of wisdom and clarity it brings, she offers this work in her teacher trainings as well as in weekend workshops, retreats, and individual private as well as small group sessions.
As a Registered Thai Therapist, Certified Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and Reiki Master, Tanya is a long-time wellness educator/practitioner and uses this experience to help deepen students’ knowledge of the traditional practices of healing and wholeness. Annually, she offers intensives and retreats to Thailand, India, and other areas in the world with rich healing traditions to go deeper and study with living masters. Tanya is an Instructor with Thai Healing Alliance International (THAI), serves on their Executive Council, and offers one of the only multi-level certification programs to learn the art of Thai Yoga Bodywork in America. Her program is unique in that it weaves Ayurveda, Energy Medicine, and Spiritual Practice, into the training – which is the often forgotten foundation of Traditional Thai Medicine (TTM). With travel as a passion, you will often find her chanting with Buddhist monks, cooking a curry, or discovering a long lost healing technique when abroad.
A lover of the outdoors, travel, music, rock-climbing, and writing, Tanya is mom to 11-year old River, her Ganesh-loving son, and can often be found cheering him on in his baseball and basketball games, waving wands with Harry Potter spells, and body surfing on beach vacations with him.
