Lisa Bertke E-RYT 500, is a certified Level 2 ParaYoga teacher under the direction of Rod Stryker, a Himalayan Institute Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist and the founder/owner of the Prana Yoga Center in Geneva, Illinois. She has also recently become a certified Four Desires Trainer.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Lisa teaches hatha and vinyasa styles in a challenging and contemplative way that is accessible to students of all levels. She passionately weaves the ancient wisdom of the practice into each class to inspire students. Lisa’s love of yoga is second only to her study and practice of ayurveda and meditation.
Lisa views yoga as both a modern therapeutic science and an ancient spiritual system which will powerfully transform the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of each student. She believes, yoga is a life-long and life-changing practice that is a catalyst for personal transformation which leads to greater purpose and fulfillment.
Many people throughout the Fox Valley have benefited from Lisa’s commitment to her practice, and the Prana Yoga Center. Lisa’s passion continues to drive her desire to serve the hearts, minds of yoga students and many charitable causes in the community.
Lisa has a Human Resources degree from DePaul University. She and her husband, Tom, live in St. Charles, IL with their 17-year-old twin boys and 20-year-old son.
