Jacquelyn Dobrinska

Level 1 ParaYoga Certified Teacher Asheville, NC, USA

Jackie Dobrinska, also known as the Herbal Yogini, is a beloved Parayogi, herbalist, wise woman practitioner, and author. She recognizes that finding fulfillment, health and happiness is an inside job – a combination of deep nourishment, self-acceptance, and a willingness to connect and expand into our deepest aspects of self.

Jackie has apprenticed with world-renowned leaders in mind-body health for 13 years. She studied Ayurveda with Mayatitandana; Herbalism with SE Wise Women and The Blue Ridge School, Wise Woman Shamanic Traditions with Susun Weed, Corinna Wood, Lynn Andrews, Kim Duckett, and many others.

In 2002, she met Yogarupa Rod Styker and discovered that her secretly held notions about the world, Self and Spirit had a home within a long and deep tradition from the Himalayans. A few years later, she followed this tradition to the Himalayan Institute, where she lived, worked, taught and studied with Pundit Rajmani Tiguniat. Today, she regularly visits both.

She is passionate about sharing simple solutions that empower others not only in their health and wholeness, but in connecting to the core of who they truly are. She weaves the wise woman practices together with the tools of Ayurveda, Yoga and Herbalism, returning students and clients to the very foundations that nourish greater ease, joy and freedom in body, mind and life.

Jackie has dozens of published articles, including a series on herbs and yoga in Yoga International. She teaches “The Sadhana of Herbs” a series of workshop blending yoga and herbs at studios around the country, and teaches tools of yoga and health at universities, hospitals, studios, business, festivals and conferences around the Southeast.
