Yogarupa Rod Stryker is excited to offer this new ParaYoga 5-Day Intensive,
part of the new ParaYoga Continuing Education Series. This five-day practice and teacher training intensive is designed to enrich dedicated practitioners, aspiring teachers, or those already teaching. To enroll in this training you must have completed the following PYMTs: Yoga Sutra, Tantra Shakti and Koshas, or at least two out of these three.

Join Yogarupa, one of the West’s true master teachers, as he leads this five-day training which focuses on the teachings and practices that unlock Sri––the all-pervasive wave of beauty and bliss that is the source of life. Through practices and theory you’ll experience, first hand, how asana is part of a larger, more comprehensive tradition––Tantra, which expands the reach of yoga in ever more profound ways.  Each day builds toward the next, each day leads toward you embodying more and more of the grace, wisdom and power of Sri. You’ll use asana and breath to open the portals of your energy body, engage your mind to enter into the profound practices that awaken your Divine potential, work with Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and explore the profound teachings of Sri Vidya.

Classes will include theory, dynamic asana sequences, accessible pranayama and tantric meditation as well as Yoga Nidra practices.

Topics Covered

Morning sessions will weave together dynamic asana, pranayama, and meditation practices. They are dedicated to enlivening your awareness of, and your connection to the Sri Vidya lineage and tradition.

Afternoon sessions will deepen your exploration through additional practices, lectures, meditations, and Q & A sessions.

Recommended Reading

There is not a suggested reading for this training, but Yogarupa suggests re-reading the article in the Fundamentals section of your ParaYoga binder titled “Tantra & Classical Yoga” by Linda Johnsen.

Yogarupa also recommends that for that the month or two prior to the start of the training you begin or recommit to your meditation practice. It will be an invaluable aid to understanding the course curriculum as well as contributing to your overall experience of the training.

Looking for someone to share a ride and/or housing? Read on…
The best place to seek or offer ride or room share information for ParaYoga events is on the Facebook group page specially created for your training. This ParaYoga group page also serves as a forum for discussion and sangha (community) after the training.  ParaYoga room or ride share information will be available only on the Facebook group page, not on the website.  Here’s how to join the Facebook group:
Step 1: After you receive your email confirming your registration for the training, sign into your Facebook account and send a friend request to:

http://www.facebook.com/ParaYogaPages

Step 2: On Facebook, send ParaYoga Pages a personal message with your name, the name of your training, the location, and the date.

Step 3: Wait a few days and you will be added to a private, closed group on Facebook for your specific training.

Step 4: Connect with your ParaYoga sangha (community) for room and ride shares, any other pre and post training communication with the other students in this course and to build the energy leading up to the training!

Please note that the ParaYoga office is not responsible for connections made on these Facebook pages or for their content.

If you’re not using Facebook, we recommend that you sign up for this free service since this is the only place where ParaYoga room or ride share information will be available. Also, this private group is a great place to continue discussing what you’ve learned.
