During times of pervasive confusion, grief, sadness, uncertainty and anger, where does one turn to rise above the fray, to live with freedom and embody what has been described as the “highest fortune?” The answer is: your heart.
Spiritual traditions as varied as yogic, Buddhist, tantrick, Kashmir Shaivite and Judeo-Christian describe awakening to the spiritual heart as the culmination of spiritual practice. Indeed, through the process, the veils that darken our heart––and that are the source of so much turmoil––are lifted. This leads to the discovery of the seat of higher wisdom, the inner teacher, and incomparable joy––where both Self and Creator are one. This is the fountainhead of compassion, wisdom and self-mastery.
The heart lights the path to auspiciousness (both worldly and spiritual) and most profoundly, the end of suffering. However, according to the scriptures, entering the sacred ground of the heart is a process, one that is revealed in stages. To those ends, specific yogic and tantrik practices provide the stepping stones for removing the veils that inhibit this experience.
Join Rod Stryker for this journey into your heart as he guides you progressively through increasingly subtle stages of your heart’s sublime nature. In each session you will be led through practices (including asana, pranayama, and meditation) that draw from the complementary yogic scriptures and practices of Samkhya, the Yoga Sutra, Upanishads, Shiva Sutra, Tantra and Sri Vidya.
The intention of this immersion is to ensure that your spirit is lifted, and your path illumined, ensuring that the curative light of your heart shines inside and out into the world.
About the Seminarhaus Shanti
