Guru Parampara: Transmission and Lineage
Guru Parampara is the culmination of the ParaYoga® Master Training Program. As the last of nine modules, its primary aim is to ensure that ParaYogis have a clear understanding and capacity to apply all ParaYoga® practices and techniques in both group and individual class settings. In addition to a series of wide-ranging lectures, the training will also include case studies, opportunities to review of participants’ teaching skills that include practice teaching as well as group and individual presentations.
Throughout the training our emphasis is on guiding teachers to refine their skill and capacity, both as teachers and advanced practitioners. Guru Parampara promises to be a dynamic, intensive and transforming training.  Participation requires you to have completed (no less than) six ParaYoga® Master Trainings prior to October 2009.

In addition to twice daily asana and meditation practices, the study curriculum includes some of the following subjects:
· Science of diagnosing and designing practices to meet individual needs.
· Growing your power and authority as a teacher
· Addressing the physical, emotional, and psychic limitations of your students
· The art of communication and intuition in one-on-one teaching
· Learning to overcome your obstacles to clear perception
· The art of teaching meditation
· Awakening the lineage of the Himalayan sages

Upon signing up for the course, participants will be sent a class syllabus, which includes a complete list of all ParaYoga techniques along with the outline for teaching them. Please be advised of the other pre-requisite for participation: you must have completed reading THE POWER OF MANTRA AND THE MYSTERY OF INITIATION by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.

This course will next be offered in 2011. If you are eligible or will be prior to the beginning of the course, please make your plans early to participate in this event that will bring many senior ParaYoga student/teachers together.

Lodging arrangements must be done through the Himalayan Institute (570) 253-5551. We recommend you reserving your spot early.
