ParaYoga Teacher Accreditation Requirements
There are two levels of ParaYoga® Teacher accreditation: ParaYoga® Level I and ParaYoga® Level II Certified Teachers. The PMYT has been approved by the Yoga Alliance for both 200 and 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) status.
I. PARAYOGA® LEVEL I CERTIFIED TEACHERS STATUS: requires participation in the following five PYMTs: Vinyasa Krama, Marma, Tantra, Sutras, and Kosha, completion of corresponding book reports, regular personal practice and individual evaluation (through both written testing and a formal review of applicant's teaching) as well as all additional requirements that are intermediate to certification requirements.

II. PARAYOGA® LEVEL II CERTIFIED TEACHER STATUS: requires completion of all 9 Trainings, completion of corresponding book reports, additional teaching and personal practice requirements and individual evaluation (through both written testing and a formal review of applicant's teaching).

III. YOGA ALLIANCE R.Y.T. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
a) 200 RYT: 5 PYMT’s (180 contact hrs.), corresponding book reports, ParaYoga® 200hr Certificate of completion for submission to the Yoga Alliance. The five PYMT’s must include: Vinyasa Krama, Marma, Sutras, Tantra, and Kosha (If you took Prana instead of Koshas prior to 2010, it will be accepted as one of the 5 required PYMTs).

b) 500 RYT:
Either: Completion of all 9 PYMT's + corresponding book reports +  ParaYoga® 500hr Certificate of completion for submission to the Yoga Alliance,
or
if you are 200-hour RYT with Yoga Alliance, completion of 8 PYMTs + corresponding book reports + ParaYoga® 500hr Certificate of completion for submission to the Yoga Alliance.

Please Note: When submitting your paperwork to the Yoga Alliance for 200/500 hr Certification, you will need to obtain a 200hr/500hr Certificate of Completion from ParaYoga as proof of having completed the requirements through us. The 5-day ParaYoga Certificates of completion that one obtains at the end of a particular training will not be sufficient to submit to them.
