Friday, April 9th, 9:00am - 4:30pm The Transformative Power of Tantra
Gary Kraftsow & Rod Stryker & Pandit Rajmani Tigunait
An experiential workshop designed to explore the vast wisdom of kundalini, Tantra, yoga, and Sri Vidya traditions. We'll cover how to integrate Tantric traditions such as pranayama, mudras, bandhas, visualization, mantras, and herbs into your current yoga practice. We'll also explore how to master the forces of the first two chakras (muladhara and svadhisthana) that govern the forces of hunger, sleep, sex, and self-preservation-and how to reconnect with our own vast inner potential, atma shakti, also known as kundalini shakti.
Saturday, April 10th, 10:30am - 12:30pm: Yoga and Ayurveda: The Vital Essences
The three vital essences (prana, tejas, and ojas) provide guiding principles that allow us to approach yoga as alchemy. These subtle forces are a basis to heal as well as transform body and mind. We'll review these key yogic teachings of Ayurveda and the yoga practices that increase and balance each of the vital essences.
Saturday, April 10th, 3:30pm - 5:30pm: Tantra Vidya, Kundalini, and the Subtle Body
Through theory and practice, we'll explore the science of Tantra as the most comprehensive and complete approach to yoga. We'll highlight the journey of this ancient tradition's approach to asana and beyond, while exploring Tantra's vision of where and how the worlds of mind, body, and spirit meet.
Sunday April 11th, 8:00am - 10:00am: ParaYoga Vinyasa: Awakening the Fire
Fire practice, from the view of the ancient tradition, means activating the dormant forces
in the spine. This inner fire, or shakti, is the force behind all spiritual experience. Learn the principles and techniques prescribed by the ancient teachings to access the sacred fire. Learn how doing accessible yet powerful asanas sequenced with bandhas leads to exaltation and illumination.
Sunday April 11th, 3:30 – 5:30 PM: Yoga and Meditation
Meditation is the heart of yoga. Through practice, theory, and discussion, we'll explore the richness and diversity of yoga's meditation tradition. Learn how all meditation techniques are not alike, which ones may be the most relevant for you, and why.
